A Shelbourne Hotel Wedding | 2019
Dannielle & Alex | Shelbourne Hotel | September 2019
Dannielle & Alex live in the UK, like quite a few of our clients, but decided to have their wedding in Ireland - Dannielle’s family is Irish. We met Dannielle here at the studio about a year before their wedding and kept in touch during the run up to their wedding day. Both of them were based in The Shelbourne on the morning, so Jill went to Dannielle and the girls while Mike went to Alex and the boys. With that many people, 6 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen, it gets very busy but it’s also a lot of fun for photographers because there’s always something happening. And the Shelbourne is lovely. The Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin is so iconic as a venue that it’s woven into the history of the country, not least by being home to the Constitution Room which is where the Irish constitution was drafted in 1922. As a city centre wedding venue we couldn’t ask for more as wedding photographers in Dublin, not only is it as luxurious as you might expect, but every wedding couple is properly spoiled on their wedding day. The wedding itself was held in the Unitarian church, which is on the west side of St Stephens Green, just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. St Stephen’s Green is a great facility to have close by for wedding photographs after a wedding, we usually go for a walk through there with any couples who are getting married close by - lakes and trees, and a busy friendly vibe, what more could you ask for.
