Clontarf Castle has been a regular wedding venue on our books every year since we started shooting weddings, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a great location, close to the city center with the sea and Bull Island close by, but it’s also just got a friendly and welcoming feel to it. Most couples are happy to stay within the hotel grounds for their wedding shoot, but every now and again we get a couple, like Emer and Yan, who take a notion and will opt to pay a visit to Bull Island for their wedding photos. I don’t think there was a cloud in the sky on their wedding day, and while the harsh light can sometimes be tricky to work with I love the shots we both managed to get. Kudos to these two for traipsing around the dunes on a sun-baked day in full wedding outfits, it definitely made for a memorable shoot.
