We live a few miles outside Swords and yet we’d never shot a wedding at Swords Castle, despite passing it by almost every week. We were so excited when Lorraine and Daniel told us it was their wedding ceremony venue, so we popped along to scout out the castle and chapel with them ahead of their big day. This is something we like to do if we’re unfamiliar with a location, so we can note issues and pick out good spots for photos; the chapel, being part of a castle, has thick walls and narrow windows, which is always useful to know ahead of time. Swords castle is a great venue for a small wedding if you’re looking for something a bit different, and with the park next door you won’t run out of places to take photos.
