We always look forward to photographing weddings at new (to us) venues - there’s nothing better than visiting a new location with the couple in advance of their wedding and finding all its little secret nooks and crannies. Martinstown House was such a wonderful surprise with sooooo many place that were perfect for photos, and in Gilbert and Douglas we had two willing subjects who absolutely indulged us on their wedding day. The grounds are second to none, meadows and pastures, lawns and woods and a secret garden, and that’s just what hits you first, the attention to detail and wee surprises around every corner are what what this an ideal location for a wedding. The house itself is fabulously cosy and sprawling, a network of charming rooms where guests can mingle and relax, and simply have a wonderful time in each others company.
