A Luttrellstown Castle Wedding | 2016
Leslie & Patrick | Luttrellstown Castle | May 2016
We were delighted when Leslie and Patrick chose us to be their wedding photographers. Based in the US, Leslie organised everything with us and we put together a shooting schedule for the day - we do that for all our clients so that they can have a sense of how their day will play out, what’s expected to happen and when they can catch a break. The day began for us at the church, St Kevin’s on Harrington St, which is stunning, where we met Patrick and his Best Man before the guests arrived. After the ceremony everyone made their way directly to Luttrellstow Castle, which is only about 40 minutes away rom the city centre.
With family and close friends coming from all corners of the world to celebrate their wedding it was a very relaxed atmosphere, the adults had the use of fantastic rooms to make their own while the kids took to the lawns to play, so it really did feel like a home away from home. When it came to taking the wedding portraits we had already shot a selection before we reached the castle, stopping on the way in along the tree lined avenue by the bridge, which meant that after enjoying some time with their guests we didn’t need to spend too much time with them afterwards. With so many photogenic locations to choose from we could easily have spent a day shooting, but we’re always mindful that we get the best results when we don’t detain couples too long and let them enjoy the company of the people they love. I think that shows in the photos we get, and the compliments we receive afterwards.
