Ariel & Chris | Killashee Hotel | August 2017

When Ariel asked us to be her and Chris's wedding photographers we wondered what the connection was with Ireland - Ariel is from the US and Chris from the UK. Turns out there is no connection, they just thought Ireland would be a fine place for all their families and friends to meet up and celebrate their wedding day. Can't really argue with that!! They were married beneath a Chuppah decorated with flowers, and the ceremony presided over by Ariel's uncles - it's clear to anyone who spends any amount of time with Ariel how close she is to all her family. After the ceremony Chris broke a glass with great gusto, probably to its molecular constituents - just to be sure to be sure. As you do. Afterwards, while the guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the Original House at Killashee, we took Chris and Ariel for their wedding portraits with the Bridesmaid and the Groomsmen.

Ariel is an absolute hoot, full of life and energy, her eyes naturally fill with light and laughter. Chris is absolutely charming, a proper gent looking out for everyone, making sure they're enjoying themselves and chatting to one and all. They're a really wonderful couple who give each other so much energy, and judging from the evening's speeches their lives are filled already with such great memories of families and friends that you can only wish more of the same for them. The first dance flew in, we stayed for a few more and ended our day of wedding photography after the Horah, with both Ariel & Chris raised up on chairs by family and friends as everyone circled and danced about them.
